NEWS RELEASE: Abortion / vaccine display outside church with vaccine pop-up clinic this Sunday

The Centre for Bio-Ethical Reform UK (CBR UK) will be taking their large, visual, public education display outside the mega church Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) in Chatham, Kent. The purpose is to inform on the use of the aborted fetal cell line used in the production of the Covid-19 vaccines.

KICC is having its second pop-up vaccine clinic in between the two morning services, in support of the church’s “vow to tackle low Covid-19 vaccine uptake in BAME community”.

In the KICC press statement and extensive FAQ document, they have failed to even mention the connection between aborted babies and the Covid-19 vaccines. This is despite lead Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo saying of the vaccines:

“we are attempting to dispel the myths and establish the facts. The church has an obligation to empower its local and wider community with the knowledge that is requisite to make informed decisions”.

Dave Brennan, who leads CBR UK’s church project Brephos, comments:

“How can the local community, who are considering the vaccine, make informed decisions if a key ethical and moral fact is being withheld?”

“It seems KICC want to have it both ways. On the one hand they want to have it that they are "not promoting any particular medication or vaccine" and are merely providing their members with “accurate and balanced information", then on the other they are actively promoting the vaccine and "vowing" to tackle low uptake, whilst deliberately concealing the ugly abortion connection. Which is it? Honest information or one-sided promotion?

“This is why it is necessary to show this pro-life community the use of aborted babies and organ harvesting in the production of these vaccines. We are not telling anyone not to take the vaccine, but just trying to ensure that people are able to make informed decisions - which is what KICC claim they are trying to do.”

What is the link between abortion and the vaccines?

A healthy baby girl was aborted in the Netherlands in the 1970s and her kidney was harvested to create the cell line HEK 293.

This cell line was used in the production of all three Covid-19 vaccines currently available in the UK:

  • The Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine was developed in this fetal cell line
  • The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines were tested on this fetal cell line

This fact is generally obfuscated by the mainstream media, who give the impression that any abortion connection is a myth or conspiracy theory.

Organ harvesting of babies killed by abortion, is not just something from the past - it is still happening today. Some of these babies are dissected alive, without anaesthetic, to preserve their organs.

Why is this a concern for Christians in particular?

The Biblical position concerning abortion is that all lives are created in the image of God and each one for God’s glory and purpose. Therefore Christians cannot support the practice of abortion which intentionally kills innocent human lives in the womb. Christians are instead called to be a voice for the voiceless and to stand against injustice.

So the fact that these vaccines have benefitted from the intentional killing of innocent human lives poses a moral decision for Christians (and all pro-lifers). One they must be informed of before they can make that decision.

Maybe KICC didn’t know about the abortion-vaccine link?

CBR UK has been sending correspondence to the church since 7th May, to both inform about this abortion link and to request discussion. They did not respond to us. Only when we informed them of our plans to bring a public education display to them, did we hear through a third party that they are now aware of these facts (if they weren’t already).
